STRATFORD ROTARY HOCKEY ERIC McLEOD MEMORIAL BURSARY
Rationale: The Stratford Rotary Hockey Eric McLeod Memorial Bursary is awarded annually to a graduating Rotary
hockey player who is either furthering their education at a college or university or joining the work force. The
bursary was created in recognition of Eric McLeod's many years of volunteerism to Rotary Hockey.
This Bursary is in the amount of $500.00 (as of 2024)
Eligibility: The applicant must be an active Rotary player in the year they are applying and must have also participated in
the Major Bantam/Minor Midget (Grade 9 and 10) division in either year during their career in Rotary Hockey.
They must be graduating from a secondary school and pursuing further education as a full or part-time student
at college or university in the year the bursary is awarded or may also be joining the work force.
Deadline: January 31 of the current Rotary Hockey season.
The candidate will submit a letter about himself/herself, including interests, academic/community involvement, extra-curricular
activities.
Please also submit: one (1) letter of reference. Letter is to include address, telephone number and relationship to applicant.
Final decision will be at the discretion of the Bursary Committee and will not solely be determined by academic achievement.
If no suitable applicant applies the Bursary may not be granted.
