U16 Player Movement to U20
This item is for all U16 players – but most importantly those born in 2007.

We have a major shortage of goalies in this age group. Unfortunately, we cannot have teams without goalies. The saving grace is that we do have extra goalies in the U20 division. So consequently, we have made the decision to reduce the U16 division to 6 teams, while the U20s will run with 10 teams.

To make this work we need 15-20 players to volunteer to move up from U16 to U20.

While this may seem like a big age gap – keep in mind that the U20 division is predominantly grade 11 and 12 students (16 and 17 yr olds) and there is no hitting in Rotary Hockey. Children born in 2007 will have played with the 16 yr olds last year, and will be playing in this division next season.

If we do not get enough players to move up, we may have move late registrants to a waiting list who may not get to play or make some other tough decisions.

If you have a child in each of these divisions, then you are an ideal candidate as it would reduce your time driving to and from the rink and free up your Wednesday evening and Saturday morning.

Please reach out to the Registrar if you are prepared to move-up. His email is [email protected]
