Cancellation of Rotary Hockey Season
Submitted By Jacques Laurin on Thu 04 01, 21
It is with heavy hearts that we must cancel the remainder of the 2020-2021 Stratford Rotary Hockey Season. Today’s announcement from the Province has forced the closure of all arenas for the month of April and consequently has cancelled the rest of our scheduled games and practices.

We want to extend a huge thanks to all our volunteer coaches, convenors and board members for all the work, time and effort they have invested to make the most of this past season. Without all of these people, Rotary hockey could not exist. There were a couple little bumps along the way, but overall it was a tremendous success in spite of the challenges of COVID. We do this for the kids and we hope to see them have a great experience, learn to love the game of hockey and most importantly, have fun!

ROTARY JERSEYS & EQUIPMENT:
Many of you will have a Rotary hockey jersey in your possession or perhaps some of our goalie gear. We will need all of these returned and will be planning a day in May to facilitate this. If you can, please take a moment to rescue any Rotary equipment or jerseys from those hockey bags and set them aside for that day.  We will communicate more details on this day as they become available.

REFUNDS:
We will also be calculating refunds due to players for the games and practices that have had to be cancelled. These refunds will be issued in conjunction with the return of jerseys and equipment.

Thanks again for participating in our program. We look forward to next year with the hopes of a more conventional hockey season.

Sincerely,

Jacques Laurin
President - Rotary Hockey
